I listened to a talk today about how, at some point in our lives, we do each thing for the last time. The last time we pick up our children, walk in the rain, dance, write a thank you note, etc. Thank you for reminding me of that.
Oh I’d appreciate listening to that talk too. Thanks for sharing Steve — I think it’s Sarah Manguso who introduced me to this term: ongoingness. That’s how I feel about the impact of those “last” moments - they still have the potential to reverberate.
